Nancy Coory/ Emily

Emily is ancient, and feisty as she confronts her own failing health and her daughter Louise’s loss of memory.

Nancy writes: I consider Emily to be a spirited old woman who has experienced an eventful life and so is compassionate towards those in need, but ready to make her opinion strongly heard when roused. I like the part because I feel so comfortable in it.

Nancy Coory has had a career in broadcasting and teaching speech and drama until quite recently. She was born in Dunedin and lives in Wellington.

For women who want to make movies. And for the people who love them.
